Hitler

March 28, 1933

  • Hitler orders a one-day nationwide boycott of Jewish merchants, to begin on April 1 and to be enforced by the presence of SS troops outside Jewish-owned stores. WIKI

  • Decreed and put forth for a vote within his Cabinet that: Establishments transferred to German figureheads by the Jewish proprietors after 28 March 1933 will be considered as Jewish establishments for the duration of the defensive boycott. This would be published under order No. 4 in The Instructions for the Boycott of Jewish Businesses and distributed 3 day later on the 31st of March. HLSNurembergTrialsProject

Joseph Goebbels, a film fan as well as the new German Minister of Propaganda, addressed filmmakers and union representatives at the Kaiserhof Hotel in Berlin, describing his requirements that new films reflect the Nazi state's ideals without compromising the artist's vision. WIKI

It is likely that Hitler spent part of the day on Berlin, where his cabinet was meeting to finalize and approve conditions for their Boycott of Jewish Businesses, in addition there was reported celebration over the recent victory of a full Ministry reorganization. HLSNurembergTrialsProject
